The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

DÍA 6 DE 7

Stewarding the Dream

I love the term “stewarding” because it implies that I’m not really the owner of anything. Stewarding means that someone else owns it but it has been entrusted to me as a manager. This is the principle found all throughout the kingdom of God. God is the owner and I am the steward. When we get in the mindset that God has entrusted a dream for us to steward, then it becomes more serious for us to make the dream happen, because we are working for the Lord and not just ourselves. This is when we realize the dream is bigger than us.

The seeds of a dream are being planted all throughout your life. God is equipping you for the dream He has for you even when we don’t realize it. Usually when we are serving the dream of someone else, we are coming closer to living His dream for us. God will give us a divine strategy for seeing our dreams come true, and it’s usually through helping another person’s dream come to pass. When we are generous with our time, our resources, and our relationships, God uses those things to help us fulfill the dreams of other people.

Joseph had a dream when he was young. He had zero capability to pull this dream off. He had zero connections and zero experience. Joseph shouldn’t have succeeded at the end of his life – but he did. Joseph discovered a principle that many successful people have practiced for centuries. It’s through the supernatural process of helping, building, stewarding, giving, and sacrificing for the dream of another that your dreams come to complete fruition.

The moment we say “Yes” to serving the dream of another is the moment God may unleash the gift on our life that will help our dream happen. This comes through many different avenues, but ultimately it comes through serving. Just get out there and serve someone else, and watch how God opens opportunities in your own life!
