Love God Greatly: To Do Justice, To Love Kindness, To Walk Humbly

DÍA 18 DE 26

Micah promises the people of Judah that God wouldn't destroy them forever. The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many people when Messiah reigns in Jerusalem. That's a promise that surely encouraged their hearts.

We have seen in history how this promise has been fulfilled. All the Scriptures we have in the book of Acts tell us about Jews who came to the feet of Jesus and dwelled among foreign people. We read about synagogues in Thessalonica and Corinth, both Greek cities. We read names like Aquila and Priscilla, Jews who lived in Rome, and Apollos, a Jew from Alexandria, Egypt.

Jews have been persecuted in awful ways throughout history. Still, they are in many countries around the world, living in different places and cultures but keeping their Jewish traditions and way of living. God has taken care of them.

I’m a foreigner in the country I live in, but aren't we all foreigners in this world according to 2 Peter 2:11? God will take care of you as a foreigner in the world. He won‘t let you down!

Dear Father, over the centuries You have taken care of Your people, protecting them from all kinds of evil. You‘ve been faithful to Your promises to Israel and You are faithful to Your promises to me, too. Thank You, Lord, for taking care of me as a foreigner in this world. Help me remember that I am a citizen of Heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love God Greatly: To Do Justice, To Love Kindness, To Walk Humbly

We are surrounded by injustice and pain. We see it not only in our world but also in our own lives and it can be disheartening and overwhelming. But we are not without hope. This is what Micah is all about. He is not afraid to get in our face about some hard topics like sin and judgement.
