Love God Greatly: To Do Justice, To Love Kindness, To Walk HumblyMuestra
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. This familiar verse in Psalm 23 expresses in a beautiful way the words of the prophet Micah today. Israel and Judah would be taken to a foreign land, scattered for years. But there would come a day when God would gather the faithful remnant of Israel, those who trust Him with all their hearts and who do His will. This is a prophecy of the second coming of Christ when Jesus will return as King and sit in His throne in Jerusalem.
As far as our sin takes us, God will always look for us like the lost sheep the good shepherd looks for in the mountains. He is a Good Father! He will not keep His anger forever.
As I read Psalm 103, my heart fills with joy and gratitude towards God. He is the One who forgives, the One who heals, the One who redeems. He covers me with His love and His mercy even when I mess things up. ´
Dear God, I praise You because You are good. You look for me even when I try to hide from Your Holy presence. You give me love, You show me mercy, You are my hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are surrounded by injustice and pain. We see it not only in our world but also in our own lives and it can be disheartening and overwhelming. But we are not without hope. This is what Micah is all about. He is not afraid to get in our face about some hard topics like sin and judgement.
