THE GOD SHOUT

DÍA 5 DE 5

I own a smart phone device. I love it. I can receive all manner of communication because of it: phone calls, images, emails, videos. I can FaceTime my husband when I’m away and see his face in real time, even if I’m in the opposite hemisphere to him. I can surf the net. There seems to be no end to the wonders this device can perform.

However, I have a confession to make. I have no idea how mobile phone technology works. Something to do with satellites…I think. Yet it does not stop me enjoying its benefits when am connected to a network.

Your spirit is like that device. Your spirit is the candle, the lamp, that God lights up. Just because you don’t understand how it all works doesn’t stop you hearing from Him.

What’s more, you are connected to a network that makes it possible—the Jesus Network. You have accessibility to God—relationship with the heavenly Father—not because of anything you pay, but because of the price Jesus has already paid on the cross.

Hearing God’s voice is not an added extra. It’s a part of your salvation package. It’s a part of the grace we have received— fellowship with God.

That’s the good news. God is no longer, in the words of a certain song, “from a distance”. If you have joined yourself to Him, you are ONE spirit with God. His voice doesn’t travel from OUTER space, it comes from INNER space, your spirit.

Sometimes God speaks in a whisper, sometimes a shout, and other times somewhere in between. However it comes, His voice doesn’t have to travel very far.

I encourage you to expect God to speak and to believe that it’s not a hard thing to hear His voice.

Even when you are not conscious of His voice, be conscious of the Good Shepherd, be conscious of Him. He has more ways of getting through to His sheep than you know.

THE GOD SHOUT

When it comes to the subject of God’s voice, there has been much said about the “still small voice” of God. Yes, God can speak in whispers, but He also knows how to shout if He has to. Some of you find hearing God’s voice a hard thing. You strain and struggle to hear the whisper. I have good news, God can shout if He needs to.
