Autumn- Written by Marleen Blondeel
Day 27
As the days grow colder we realise we have to change the way we dress to accommodate the chilly days of autumn. We dig into our wardrobes and get out those warm wooly clothes, thick jumpers, and cuddly shawls.
In the same way it is important for us to clothe appropriately in this season of our life, we need to clothe ourselves with the right attitude. Think of the armor of God in Ephesians 6.
When we go out in the morning we dress in layers, knowing that if the sun comes out later that day things will heat up. In the same way, we know we need to change our clothing, lets be open for change in our lives.
Embrace change just like the colours change, Ephesians 4:23 AMP.
How do you react to change?
Each of us contains “colors” inside, which remain hidden by our mere humanity. I see the colours as being different fruits of the spirit that are available to each one of us at all times: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Galatians 5:22-23 AMP.
Most of the time these fruits are masked, covered up, hidden by our ego; selfishness, greed, lust, anger, etc. Colossians 3: 5-10 AMP. Is your fruit hidden or exposed?
You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to start analysing your fruit and it’s fullness to become great.
