Developing a Steward’s Mindset

DÍA 2 DE 3

Accountability

Many of us have been given many years to advance God’s kingdom agenda.  One day, when we stand before Jesus on the day of judgment, He will look at how much better off His kingdom is because of how we handled what He gave us.

You see, Jesus is coming back. And when He does return, there will be an accounting. He will hold an audit. In this audit, questions will be asked about how you and I advanced His name, His kingdom, and His possessions on earth. All that we have has been given to us temporarily to work with until He returns. Second Corinthians 5:10 tells us we will give an account. It says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

When you or I stand before Jesus at the judgment seat of Christ, He is going to ask us to give an account. We will have to tell Him how we used our time, talents, and treasures for Him. We won’t be able to fudge the lines or exaggerate what we did because He already knows. He’s already seen it. There will be a record of everything. We will, as it were, have been caught on tape. He will conduct a thorough audit of every thought and action. Only what was done for Him and His purposes will last.

Developing a Steward’s Mindset

Living life as a kingdom steward is not merely a task; it is a worldview. A worldview is a lens through which you look at all things. Just as a prescription set of glasses made to work with a specific person’s eyes will bring into focus that which had previously been out of focus, kingdom stewardship reveals how the world around us truly is.
