A Resilient LifeMuestra

Depositing What Is Right Within Us
In today's verses, Jesus teaches us that what flows from us was first placed within us. Our mouth speaks of that which abounds within us. If in our heart the right thing does not abound, it will not flow to others either.
It is the trials of life that reveal what we have in our hearts. When we are under pressure, it's what is inside that overflows outside. That is why we must be responsible for what we put in our hearts. If we do not put in the good, the bad will flow out in times of crisis, and we will find ourselves reacting badly, instead of responding in faith to life situations.
If you do not make a correct deposit into your bank account, then you can't make the withdrawal you need.
What are you depositing into your family, your life, and your marriage? What are you feeding your mind and your inner self?
In Matthew 15, the Pharisees criticized Jesus because his disciples did not wash their hands before eating. But Jesus challenged the Pharisees and asked them, "What is worth more, what is inside or outside?" Because wickedness and sin flow from the heart, perhaps it is better to focus on what is inside us.
In David's call, we're shown an example of how man focuses on appearance, while God focuses on the heart. It is what you deposit in you that will keep you steady amid difficulties, and though the wolf blows hard, it will not be able to bring down your life.
What are you depositing inside of you?
