Today’s Topic of Prayer and Fasting: Stewardship

Take a moment to wash off your day. Grab a pen and paper in expectation of having a heart to heart conversation with your Heavenly Father.  Rid your mind of distractions, overwhelming feelings and thoughts, and the busyness that comes with our daily lives and intentionally choose to lean in to God’s presence. 

• What is God speaking to you today about stewardship? 
• How will your growth in understanding stewardship affect those around you? 
• What commitment will you make today to become a better steward of what God has given to you? 
• What areas in your life need Godly stewardship? 

Prayer:

Lord, we thank you for teaching us to be good stewards in all areas!  We understand that you are the ultimate owner of all things but you have given us management responsibility for your creation!  Lord, we ask for wisdom to steward well the things that you have blessed us with.  Teach us how to steward our time, our gifts, our finances, our relationships, our influence, our energy, our jobs, and our material blessings.  We thank you that as we steward the little that is in our hands, you are able to increase us according to Luke 16:10 and as we increase, we will use all that we have for your glory in Jesus’ name!

As our time of corporate prayer and fasting comes to an end, don’t stop here. Prayer is most effective when it isn’t something we do every now and then, but when it’s a lifestyle we cultivate.
