Unwrapping the Gifts From GodMuestra
Are you a gifted person? 💝
Gifted people have the ability to change companies, families, sports teams, schools, science labs and society. I watch and admire people who are so gifted at music or sports, acting or entertainment. These gifted individuals are generally richly rewarded by society for their talents. Society values certain gifts but others, not so much. Teachers, missionaries, social workers and many more gifted and dedicated people are not rewarded as much.
Are you richly rewarded for your talents and gifts? God’s value and reward system is way different from our society’s. The Bible says we should “store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Matthew 6:20, NIV)
God loves to give us talents, but He rewards faithfulness, kindness, integrity, diligence, generosity and compassion.
Please don’t compare the size of your wallet to others’. Don’t be jealous of the man or woman who seems to have more talent. I’m not the most talented or gifted person in the world. I can’t play an instrument or sing on key all the time, but I make a joyful noise to the Lord. I’m not handy with tools, engine repair or any household chores, but I love to help. I’m not the smartest, best-looking or most athletic, but I’ll always give it my best shot. I often joke I’m like a guitar with one chord, but I’ve chosen to play it to the best of my ability.
Can you relate to what I’m sharing? It’s not how many gifts you have; it’s how you use those gifts that God rewards. “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” (Matthew 25:22-23, NIV)
The story of the talents should boost your spirit today. Whether you have five amazing talents or just one, use your talent(s) with faith, courage and generosity and watch what God can do with you.
Because in God’s eyes, you’re a miracle.

Acerca de este Plan
Most of my family and friends love to receive gifts. Christmas, Easter, birthdays and anniversaries are excuses for my wife and me to give gifts, hugs and words of affirmation. I believe we were designed by God to give and receive gifts. It’s normal and divine. In this reading plan, writer Paul Marc Goulet shares about this topic and what gifts God give us.
