Day 10- Presence - He Guides Me
- God’s Word
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Psalms 23:1-3 NLT
- Today’s Thought
David, as a shepherd in the mountainous terrain, penned one of the most quoted and impactful scriptures of the entire Bible in Psalm 23. He knew what it was like to guide his sheep in the direction of protection and provision for their lives. He used this perfect metaphor of the Great Shepherd who by his presence was guiding him.
It is the most amazing gift to have the peace of mind knowing that God’s presence is always with us through the Holy Spirit. He will guide and direct our path as we trust in Him with our whole hearts. His word is a lamp to our feet as we make decisions about our family, our friendships, our finances, and our future. We can fully trust His presence. His is our all-knowing, all-powerful God.
As we continue to pray this prayer of blessing over family, our friends, and our future let’s pray that God will smile on us and be gracious to us as He guides us with his presence.
- My Prayer
May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace. Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT)
Heavenly Father, today I thank you that you are my Great Shepherd and your presence is always with me. I thank you that I can trust you to guide my life along the right path. Because I am divinely guided, I believe I will take the right turn in the road that is before me. I believe God that you will make a way where there seems to be no way. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Acerca de este Plan
For 20 years, Michelle's father, Dr. Rod Masteller, used "5 P's" taken from the prayer of Aaron to serve as a daily guide to pray God's blessings over his life, family, and friends. In his honor, we have written this devotional as a framework to help you focus on praying for God's provision, protection, presence, power, and peace.
