Man Up! Muestra
BRAVE DECISIONS
So Esther made a decision. Whether it would work out in her favor or not, was uncertain. But she decided. In fact, she made two very brave decisions.
Firstly, she requested that all Jews fast with her for three days. She knew where she would get the strength for decision number two. Only from God through prayer. She believed in the power of praying together. She did not boast about her brave decision, she asked others to intercede for her. "Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same" (Esther 4:16, NLT).
Secondly, she decided that she would face King Xerxes. Whatever the outcome, she was going to man up. That is a fundamental characteristic of people who man up. They are willing to face the consequences of their decisions. "And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die" (Esther 4:16, NLT).
Many people struggle to make decisions because they are afraid of the potential consequences of taking a stand. If you remain undecided nothing great may happen, but neither will something terrible. In what area of your life do you struggle to arrive at a decision?
Perhaps you missed the first step. Have you prayed and fasted for the courage to take a stand? Do you believe that God's power is available to you?
Decide to make a decision! Man up. God is with you. "'Don't ever be afraid or discouraged," Joshua told his men. "Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is going to do this to all of your enemies"' (Joshua 10:25, NLT).
