The Life Of A Worship LeaderMuestra

Worship Runs to God
Coming to God each day reminds me of how our little boy runs to me every morning. Each day I begin time with God. Our oldest, who is now five, wakes up early just to be with his daddy. He is full of expectation of my love, full of anticipation of my welcome, and full of joy because I delight in him. He runs and dives into my lap, nearly crushing me against my chair.
I think about how this kind of love is reflected in our Heavenly Father. He calls us by name, waits for our embrace, and holds us up in arms of grace. Unlike the world, He has never left us and will never forsake us. How do you run to Jesus each day?
Psalm 119:32 says: “I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding.”
Lamentations 3:23 tells us His mercies are new every morning.
Hebrews 10:33 reminds us to “hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”
Psalm 5:3 declares: “In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
When we begin to see the personhood and love of the Father, we begin to see God more clearly in His compassion for us. Worship doesn’t forsake; worship is never alone. Worship runs to God and worship is always with God.
