Baptized Into Jesus
Jesus came to unlock our destiny and remove our self-centered nature. He restored us as sons and daughters of God. Jesus said that if you want to go all-in and immerse yourself completely into Him, you must deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him.
In John 20, Jesus’ disciples receive the Holy Spirit and are restored to their original value. In verse 22, He breathed on the disciples and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit!” He brought them back to day one when God breathed into Adam. They were born again! The breath that was lost through sin was restored.
Man became a new creation, restored to their original created value and purpose - sons and daughters of the Living God!
Before this, man is a shadow of what he was created to be and was spiritually dead. Why is this important? Because it was God’s original intent for man to have value and purpose. They were born again and life came back inside of them.
Now that we are children of God, we have the privilege of following Jesus completely. As we begin to see ourselves the way He sees us, believe what He says about us, and begin to live from His perspective - in life and our view of others, we become like Him.
Questions:
- Have you gone all in with Jesus?
- Do you see yourself the way God sees you and believe what He says about you to be true?
- Do you view life and others through Jesus’ eyes or your own?

In this plan, we will learn what baptism means and discuss the number of different baptisms in Scripture: baptized into Jesus, water baptism, in the Father, and in the Holy Spirit.
