Video transcript:

When I first came to faith, I was so happy. And then, I failed so miserably, I’m ashamed to say. I felt terrible, like…I thought to myself, “I thought this Christianity thing was gonna work. I thought I was over all of this.”

The beginning of your journey with God might feel pretty bumpy, but don’t give up. He will help you. He helps you! When everything seems to go wrong, He will be your firm foundation.

Just think about King David. He went through lots of ups and downs—He was no stranger to trouble! But he got pretty good at repenting, and he knew who to call on for help when he needed it. There’s only one to turn to. He relied on God’s steadfast love and faithfulness, and God helped him every time he called out.

In Psalm 40, David says,

He lifted me up out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; and he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

Seasons in your life will change. Like it or not, troubles will come. But in the middle of it all, you can stand secure in Christ! He promises to be with us, strengthening us like a solid foundation.

God is so good. Let’s praise Him right now…

Thank you, Jesus. You are faithful. You are dependable, solid as a rock. And when things go wrong, we will not give up, Lord. We declare that we will stand firm in You—firm in You, Jesus. Amen!

God is our rock!
