Loving Your Enemies: David Spares Saul’s Life In the Cave
David had every right to be angry at Saul. It would have been so easy to take his revenge there and then in that cave. He also knew God had put Saul in a position of authority and it was God’s job to take care of Saul – not his. When we receive a promise from God, we may feel justified in sinning to obtain it. But God can’t bless sin! God will keep His promises, but in His own way. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said, ‘Love your enemies’ (see Matthew 5:44–45).
There is no better illustration of devotion to these commands than the account of David’s refusal to kill his adversary King Saul. David knew not only how to wait on the Lord, he also knew how to wait for the Lord. God is faithful. He will keep His promises.

Acerca de este Plan
A series by Heidi Wysman. David is one of the most referenced people in the Bible with sixty-six chapters dedicated to him. When God calls, He empowers us.
