Draw Near - PrayerMuestra

When the Bible was first written, it wasn’t written in English. The Old Testament was written in the Hebrew language and the New Testament was written in Greek. In these languages there are even more names that God is known by. Here’s a few;
Abba, which means Daddy, Father.
Elohim, which means The Creator.
Jehovah Jireh, which means, The Lord will provide.
Jehovah Rapha, which means, the Lord who heals.
Jehovah Shalom, which means, the Lord of peace.
El-Olam, which means, Everlasting God.
These names for God, help us to understand more of who He is. We don’t pray because of the things He can do for us, we pray because of WHO HE IS.
As you draw near to God in prayer, you’ll grow to know God in different ways. You’ll come to know Him as your Provider, Protector, Healer, Shepherd and King.

Acerca de este Plan

This devotional is designed to lead children and pre-teens to draw near to God through prayer. We want to learn to pray because of who God is, not what He does and to understand Holy Spirit helps us pray.
