Draw Near - Praise

DÍA 2 DE 15

David was chosen by God. He was a shepherd, a giant slayer, and a mighty warrior. David was the captain of Israel’s armies and eventually he became king. What you may not know about David, one of the most famous men in the Bible, is that he was also a poet and a passionate worshipper after God’s own heart. He wrote many psalms that are recorded in the Bible: psalms of joy and psalms of sadness, psalms of victory and psalms of defeat.

In one of David's poems, Psalm 139, he praised God because God made him, knew everything about him and loved him so much. David praised God because God knew him and wanted to know him. God knew every part of David, what he liked and didn’t like, and the very number of hairs on his head - God knew it all. David was a passionate worshipper; he drew near to God through praise. We can praise God because we are fearfully and wonderfully made. How God made us is amazing and wonderful!
