Plot Twist

DÍA 27 DE 30

You forgot to turn in your homework. You didn't do a chore your parents asked you to do. you said something that hurt a friend. These are just a few examples of the mistakes we make. Some are innocent, some cause embarrassment, and some can change our lives completely. It can be hard enough to realize and recognize that we made a mistake. So how do we recognize the mistakes we've made and learn and grow from them to not make the same mistake?

We have to recognize we're going to mess up. We're going to make mistakes because we're human . . . while interacting with other imperfect humans. How can we pay attention to our mistakes but not be defined by them? The Bible tells us that we don't have to be identified by our mistakes. We can accept the grace Jesus offers and commit to living a life that reflects Jesus in everything we do and say. Now just because we receive grace from God doesn't mean we can do whatever we want. It means we focus our lives on loving God and others.

How will we live lives that accept God's grace more and more every day?

Plot Twist

Whether it’s your favorite movie, book, or reality show, you know there's nothing like a good plot twist! A plot twist can make us rethink everything we thought we knew about the story. In this 30-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, designed for Lent we’ll focus on how Jesus experienced “life-plot twists” and how he is with us when we go through unexpected moments in our life.
