Praise … Again … And Again
In this short psalm, the words "Hallelu Yah!" (praise the Lord) are repeated ten times. The psalmist is making his point loud and clear. Just do it: Praise the Lord! But why do we need telling? Shouldn’t praise come easy? The problem is that to praise the Lord we have to deduct the pride, ambition, and self-centeredness that we are so attached to. Maybe we really do need the reminder.
Prayer: Father God, I praise your holy name today. You are great; your wisdom is beyond the stars; your love beyond comprehension. Your power has no equal. Hallelujah ... hallelujah ... hallelujah. Take away whatever stands between me and praise today. Make this day a day of PRAISE! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
