21 Days to Life-Changing Confidence

DÍA 7 DE 21

There are a lot of ideas floating around about what freedom truly means. When you don’t know the truth, you settle for the lie. Here are the two big lies about freedom that the enemy wants you to fall for:

Law is the way: You believe the lie that it all depends on you, so you try to find freedom and life through your own perfection and performance. Because of this, you exhaust yourself by constantly falling short and burning out.

Sin is the way: You believe the lie that freedom is found in autonomy over your own life, so instead of submitting to God’s plan, you attempt to find freedom and life by living out “your truth,” your way, and your desires. This way leads to sin and death.

Your freedom doesn’t come from resisting sin and being a good person; your freedom comes from Jesus. Likewise, your freedom doesn’t come from satisfying all of your earthly, sinful desires; your freedom comes from Jesus.

Jesus already finished the work for you. You don’t have to strive or perform anymore. And since you’ve been emancipated from the shackles of sin, why would you want to go back? Are you seeing how our entire lives rest upon the truth of who Jesus is and what He has accomplished for us? When you seek Jesus, He gives you TRUE freedom.

If the Son sets you free, you are truly free. JOHN 8:36

DECLARATION:

I am set free by God. I don't have to look for the answers to life in my own strength or in the world. I am confident that my eternal spiritual freedom is the most valuable freedom I can have.
