DÍA 22 DE 30

LOWER LIFE VERSUS HIGHER LIFE

Matthew 10:39 (AMPC)

39 Whoever finds his [lower] life will lose it [the higher life], and whoever loses his [lower] life on My account will find it [the higher life].

Let me ask you a question: is there something you desire so much that is your major prayer request this year? Is there something that you have asked God for several times, and you feel it will be the end of the world if your prayers aren’t answered? Maybe there is an examination you want to pass this year or an urgent need in your life. What Jesus is saying here is that whatever the need in your life is, it can become cheap for you to get. All you have to do is to come before God and tell Him, “God, I lay this need down before You. It won’t affect me or my relationship with You if I don't get it.” The Scripture above reveals that you have not yet chosen the higher life if a need in your life is so much of an issue to affect your relationship with God if that need is not met.

To enjoy the higher life, you need to lay your greatest prayer request before God and let Him know that it will not affect you even if you don’t get it. Let Him know you will still be a serious Christian even if you don’t get that request you have been praying for. You are going nowhere with God until you cross that bridge. So, are you ready to lay it down before God?

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, I receive grace to lose the lower life and live the higher life in God. I receive grace to trust and follow the Father even when it seems my prayers are not answered, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
