It is well known that no one can serve both God and money; it is less well known that in Australia, this is exactly what happened! The Bible Society was founded one month before Australia's first bank, the Bank of New South Wales (now known as Westpac). And all the original directors of the bank were directors of the Bible Society, as were the first two depositors. The Bible Society is most likely the bank's oldest remaining customer. And that's because good stewardship of money is important to proper Christian ministry. Our work is built on doing a lot with a little, because people continue faithfully to provide for our work.
