DÍA 4 DE 28

Have you ever gone on the "buyer's remorse" roller coaster? It goes like this. You see something you want to buy because it will make your life way better. Maybe it is that new video game, shoes, or phone. You get home and are pretty amped for a moment. You pull out your new purchase and start thinking about all the money you spent. And then the doubt sets in.

As you begin to wonder if it will make your life all that better, suddenly, your stomach feels like it does when you hit a drop on a roller coaster. Your stomach begins to drop as you begin to regret your decisions.

If this has happened to you, there is no shame in riding that roller coaster —everyone has been there. You can always return it. When it comes to your time, however, there is no return policy. It would be awesome if you spent your time on something you regret that you could get that time back. Unfortunately, when it comes to time, there is no return policy. You only get one chance to spend your time, so use it wisely.

This is what the apostle Paul encourages us to do in Ephesians 5. He asks you to see every moment as an opportunity to talk with God about the best things you can spend your time on and then do it. God wants the best things for your life. Talk with God about what that looks like in your life, and go for it!
