Do you know what we call a group of owls? A parliament! Owls have extraordinary abilities to see in the dark; they can also see very far distances. Their eyes are fixed in one place, and they have to turn their heads if they want to look at something else. Owls have super-hearing powers too! Did you know they have sets of ears at different heights on their head? They can hear their prey even when it's hiding under plants, leaves, dirt, and even snow! We are often told that owls are wise.

God says YOU are wise too:

And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace.

Just like the owl God has given us special powers to see and hear. We can see with the eyes of our hearts. God often talks to us by showing us pictures in our imagination. When we fix our eyes on Jesus and we ask for wisdom, we just have to listen to what He tells us to do. We have the ability to hear God's voice. This is not always a booming voice, but a still small voice—like a thought. We never have to be ashamed to ask Him to help us. He is always ready with the answers. Just ask Him.
