7 Stats You Need to Know to Serve the King
As someone has said, statisticians seem not to have noticed that 68.79% of the people in the world are sick of statistics! If that is true, the odds are better than 2 to 1 that you are one of those people, but even if you are, try to open your mind to the seven statistics on today’s Missiographic. God can use them to inform and strengthen your prayers—the best use ever for statistics.
For example, “73% of all people reside in a country where their religion is a majority.” What does that mean for the spread of the gospel? It means that most non-Christians around the world have about as much knowledge of Christianity as we have of Buddhism or Islam. Much of the knowledge they have is wrong or distorted, especially if they are in an unreached people group where they are unlikely to ever meet a Christian in person or see a church building.
But what can you do about it? When they immigrate or come to your country for study, work, or business, you can befriend them. You can support missionaries to take the gospel to them, and you can support media ministries that get the gospel and discipleship material out to places that missionaries cannot go. You can help lower that 73% figure.
Personal Reflection:
• Do you know individuals who are among the hundreds-of-millions of displaced people? How can you help reach them with the gospel or pray for them more specifically?
• How does knowing that 86% of non-believers do not personally have a relationship with a Christian encourage you to reach out to the non-believers around you?
Prayer:
• God bless all the Internet, radio, and TV efforts to plant the gospel seed among people who do not personally know a Christian.
• Father, thank You that the statisticians believe Christianity will grow from 33% of the world’s population today to 36% by 2050. But please make it grow faster and deeper, and let us have a share in the work of planting and watering.
• Lord have mercy on the 80% of the world that shares only 5.5% of the world’s wealth. Give us a heart for those in need, and eyes to see how we can help meet their needs.

Acerca de este Plan
Do unreached people appear fuzzy to you—out of focus or far away? God knows exactly who they are and where they are. He sees them clearly! This 7-day reading plan will let you in on some of what God sees, so your heart can beat with His heart. The aim of the plan is not to make you a trivia expert about people groups, but to impress on you that not one of them is trivial to God. Jesus died for them all, and they all have that most fundamental of human rights—the right to hear of the transforming grace of God.
