God's Redemption Story (Judges - 2 Samuel)Muestra

Saul - 2/5
Saul wasn’t always a spear-throwing, future-king-chasing, hard-hearted, mad man. When Saul stepped into God’s calling for his life, when he was obedient when he was focused on God, Saul experienced God’s Spirit. He had power in the Lord, and “there was no one like him among all the people.” Later Saul’s focus moves from God to himself. From honoring God to glorifying himself. From stepping into God’s plans to making his own plans. From pleasing God to pleasing people.
It's easy to point the finger at Saul, seeing exactly how he went wrong. What if we turn the proverbial finger on ourselves? Where in our own lives are we following our plans instead of God’s? Do we care more about pleasing God or pleasing others? In what area of your life do you need to turn your eyes back to God?
