Eden, Exodus & the Empty Tomb

DÍA 4 DE 4

GOD'S REDEMPTIVE PLAN FOR EVERYONE

You’re A Slave To Sin (The Captive)

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1). Adam and Eve, the first people God created, experienced a perfect relationship with Him until they chose to sin (disobey Him). Now, every human born since that moment, including you, is enslaved and spiritually dead in sin.

You Can Be Free In God’s Family (The Child)

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you have been saved” (Eph. 2:4-5). Our spiritual condition is dire, but we’re not without hope. Seeing that His children were unable to fulfill His standard, God himself lived a perfect life and paid the penalty for the sin that began in the Garden of Eden.

You Can’t Save Yourself (The Sacrifice)

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph. 2:8-9). Just as He freed the Israelites from Egyptian slavery, our path to freedom was paid through a sacrifice that only God himself could make. He was killed through crucifixion, and three days later He rose from the grave, defeating sin and death.

You Have A Purpose (The Mission)

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10). Once you receive Jesus personally, the most important thing you will do in life is share Him with others. Your friends and family need to hear this message!

Big Idea

Eden, Exodus, and The Empty Tomb culminate into a decision that everyone must make. Have you surrendered your life to Jesus?

LET'S THINK ABOUT THIS

Question #1: What is one thing that “jumped out” to you while reading Ephesians 2:1-10?

Question #2: Have you surrendered your life to Jesus? If not, what is keeping you from making that decision?

Question #3: You were created with a purpose, and you don’t have to wait to walk it out. What are some ways you can share Jesus with others this week?
