This Is the Day the Lord Has MadeMuestra
OUR SACRIFICE
Jesus Christ made the greatest sacrifice imaginable by dying on the cross to save us from our sins. Isaiah 7:11 states, "Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights." He is there for us no matter what struggles we face or what sins we commit. So, you can lift your eyes to the Lord and pray for His guidance when going through these challenging times.
One example of a recent sacrifice I made was during the 21 days of prayer and fasting. During these 21 days, I was fasting from sweet treats. I have had to ask the Lord for help to lead me out of the temptation of eating treats, which was harder than you might think, especially when your family decides to take you on fun outings where you would usually have a treat. This experience helped me look to Him more often and reminded me to thank Him for all He has done for me. When I considered all that Jesus has done for me, it was much easier to get through the 21 days.
As we look at the sacrifices that Jesus has made for us, what are some things we could do for Him? Maybe we could sacrifice our time and start praying more often, reading the Bible more, helping others, etc. Leading up to the Easter season, let's think about all that Jesus has done for us and ways we can thank Him. So, my challenge to you is to find enough time each day to read one verse and pray to God afterward.
Also, remember that God is always with you, no matter what.
