In the ShadowsMuestra
Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read Jeremiah 29:10–14 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What promise do you see God make here?
- What questions do you still have?
A: Application
- What's something about the future that feels unclear right now? What's God trying to tell you about it?
- What does the passage tell us about God's actions in the moments we feel lost? What would that look like for you?
- What's one way you can call on God today? What words would you use to describe how you feel? What words do you pray to express hope for what could come?
P: Prayer
Spend some time in prayer about a way you feel lost. Maybe it's a situation that feels hopeless or a decision you're stuck on. Ask God to come alongside you and give you hope, as well as wisdom. Then say thank you for how God carries us in the moments we feel helpless.

Acerca de este Plan
As we grow and experience more life, we might find the shadows of doubt or questions creeping towards us. Rather than running from the shadows, we can look to God to cast some light on the situation. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at stories that draw us closer to God's light whenever we feel lost in the shadows.
