The Making OfMuestra
Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read Isaiah 1:16–18 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What does it say about the outward signs of repentance?
- What questions do you still have?
A: Application
- What's something that keeps you from choosing to do the right thing?
- Who could benefit from you turning away from wrong and focusing on others?
- How does it feel to know God offers complete forgiveness?
P: Prayer
Spend some time in prayer about a wrong you want to be forgiven for. Talk to God about who else might be harmed by it, and consider how others could benefit from you choosing to pursue good instead. Then, thank God for offering a complete forgiveness that makes us new.

Acerca de este Plan
As we watch our favorite movies, we may not realize all of the work that went into making the cinematic masterpiece. In the same way, we might expect our relationship with God to look like a finished product when it's still in the making. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll see how our habits behind the scenes help us grow the faith we want to see.
