Faithful: Leaving a Legacy of Integrity

DÍA 6 DE 6

Day 6: He Calls Me Faithful - This is My Testimony

In Revelation, we read how we overcome evil by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. Jesus already provided the cleansing blood which gives us the power to change. This gift causes the Father to look upon us, and in seeing the blood of his son on us, he declares us to be righteous in Christ, forgiven, and restored back to him.

The second part of becoming a victorious overcomer is by proclaiming the word of our testimony. The truth we share sheds light on the enemy’s schemes as he attempts to kill, steal, and destroy our testimony. But it is the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit that compels me to continually tell my story - his story!

Tell your story! Testify! Share your testimony by the way you live your life in words, actions, and deeds, all stemming from your belief in Jesus, who is our life. Speak life!

In my book, “He Calls Me Faithful: The Journey of Becoming a Man of Integrity,” you’ll read how Jesus rescued me, restored my marriage, saved my family, and changed my heart. “Faithful” is the new name he gave me on my road to Damascus. He met me there and opened my eyes, then he put me on a new road to live a faithful life of integrity. This created a legacy path, in Christ, for my family who would follow in my footsteps.

Addictions were broken, forgiveness was given, relationships were mended, mercy and grace were granted, new godly habits were formed, and generations were saved when God answered the prayers of my parents and of my wife to rescue me that day. He also heard my own prayer to “humble me” after I encountered a near miss in the sky while flying my airplane. Six months later, by God’s kindness, he gave me a repentant heart and answered my prayer. In my book and in conversations, I share all these details as well as practical and useful help for anyone who, like I was, may be in need of a rescue. Maybe it’s you or it's someone you’ve been praying for that God wants to restore. The book is an easy tool to put in the hands of friends who the Lord puts on your heart to help. You might struggle with anger, dishonesty, inappropriate behaviors, lack of empathy, or financial irresponsibility. Or your challenges may be more with internal battles. The crucial point is to be open to change when your conscience and the Spirit nudges you.

Change requires confession, repentance, and embracing the forgiveness offered through Christ's sacrifice. This forgiveness doesn't have to be earned again; Jesus has already secured it. Our part is to accept and live by it. Spiritual upkeep, just like cleaning our bodies, is an ongoing task. It's about regularly purifying our soul and spirit and learning to walk in integrity.

One piece of advice given by my mentor has stuck with me, and I’d like to pass it on to you. Whenever I asked what I should do next, after making a confession, he'd always say, "Greg, righteousness is simply getting up and doing the next right thing. "This guidance has profoundly influenced my path, and I pray it will help you on yours as well.

As a gift for you, enjoy this download: Daily Guide Steps to Becoming A Person of Integrity. You may choose to print off the guide to put it where you will see it daily or perhaps you might save it to the home screen on your device for quick reference.

And lastly, I leave with you the same words Paul left with Timothy, his true spiritual son in the faith, “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ that you who are faithful and able would keep them and transform their hearts as they walk faithfully with you all their days. Amen

Faithful: Leaving a Legacy of Integrity

Living faithfully starts with a transformed mind and daily decisions. It’s a partnership with God, living a life worthy of Jesus’ calling. His work was finished on the cross; our role is to stay faithful and finish the race. As Paul said in Philippians 3:14 (NLT), “I press on to reach the end and receive the heavenly prize.” This 6-day study offers practical steps for living with integrity and leaving a legacy of faithfulness.
