Margin

DÍA 12 DE 15

We’re bombarded in today’s world with so many impurities trying to filter into our minds and hearts. We see it on television, in the movies we watch, the music we listen to, and the books we read. We even see it in advertising on commercials, billboards, and at your local store. We’re just one click away on the Internet or on our phones to unlocking a world of sexual immorality that can wreck the lives of our families for years to come.

Sexual sin is such a common problem in our world today that it’s very likely you know someone who was affected by it. This even goes beyond sexual temptations, as we’re also flooded with messages that are contradictory to what God’s Word says. We’re being taught to believe that it’s okay to lie to others, it’s okay to cheat when necessary, it’s okay to be selfish, it’s okay to hurt others in your pursuit of success, and that it’s okay to have an addiction because everyone else does these days. With so much sin in our world it’s important that we live with moral margin, which can be defined as putting distance between you and temptation.

James 1:13-15 describes how temptation works and the cycle of sin it creates that can ultimately lead to death. Your spiritual enemy is trying to hook you into something that would cause sin to be born because sin, when it’s fully-grown can lead to a life of heartache, suffering, and even death. That’s why it’s so important that you do everything you can to create that margin or that distance between you and anything that could cause you to sin. In what ways does the world’s view of morality conflict with God’s view?

Acerca de este Plan

Margin

Sometimes it seems like the only way to keep up with all the demands on our lives is to run at maximum capacity—and then some. But there is another way, one where we have room to breathe and space to respond to what God brings our way. This reading plan features a variety of devotional readings, video teaching from Craig Groeschel, and videos of everyday people living with margin in their lives.
