- This is a new translation of the Bible in contemporary Nepali using all the available resources making sure that the message of the Bible is accurately and clearly communicated to all the Nepali-speaking speakers all around the world. Every verse in this translation has undergone the scrutiny of internationally certified, experienced translation consultants. The consultants in the process have verified the accuracy of the translated text with the source (Hebrew-Greek) languages texts, and made sure that the translation is consistent with the translation philosophy of Biblica: Maximum proximity to the original with maximum accessibility to the contemporary readers; in other words, equal rigor to both the original languages and the target language.
- The use of honorifics is a unique feature of this translation. We made sure that persons belonging to each level were addressed and referred to with the right kind of honorific terms, especially when addressing God.
- Gender inclusiveness between males and females is also another feature of this translation.
- This translation tries to avoid any hint of racism. Eg. In place of “Gentiles,” we use “Non-Jews,” or “non-Israelis.”
- This translation has included verses or portions of doubtful authenticity in the running text itself and has given footnotes saying, “Some older manuscripts do not contain this portion.”
- This translation has tried to maintain weights and measures understandable to the contemporary audience by keeping the modern measurements either in the running text or in the footnote.
