If you are a Christian, you are constantly at war. Not because you are attacked physically, but because spiritual forces try to lure you away from God. To protect you, God offers you spiritual armor. This reading plan explains what this armor of God looks like and how you can use it.

Join us for a week of prayer as we reflect on the theme: “One Another.” Throughout the New Testament, this simple yet profound two-word phrase appears more than fifty times, shaping the very foundation of the early church. Like threads woven throughout Scripture, these words are an invitation to love, serve, forgive, pray for one another—and more. This call to interconnected living defined the early church, and it resonates today for us in the Evangelical Covenant Church as we seek to embody Christ’s radical love in our relationships with others.

This is a time when the fragile form of this world is felt. The seemingly solid foundations are shaking. The question we should be asking is, Do we have a Rock under our feet? A Rock that cannot be shaken—ever?

Christians are at war in the spirit. They have been provided with seven weapons of warfare to fight the devil and other enemies. But we must learn what these weapons are and how to use them effectively to fight and win this war against the devil and the weaknesses and passions of our flesh.

You will not find clothing style advice in the Bible. Nor will you find the latest fashions. Yet God's Word has a lot to say about clothing: why we wear clothes at all, how we should dress, and how God offers us beautiful, spotless clothing to cover our sins. Will you read with us?

The repeated cry of James is that faith apart from works can never be sustained. We should proclaim this truth because faith makes us doers of the Word, not just hearers. Faith keeps us humble, not proud; directs our tongues to bless, not to curse. Faith causes us to preach the good news to every tribe, tongue, and nation. This is the message of James: Faith/Works.
