That’s why each day of this 21-day plan is based on Scripture and is aimed at fueling your desire to feast on God’s Word and depend on him wholeheartedly in prayer. This plan is adapted from David Platt’s daily podcast titled, Pray the Word.

Do you desire "more" in your life? More time, finances, faith, healing? Your heavenly Father wants to bless you abundantly with everything He’s paid for. You can experience more of His peace, power, provision, and presence in your life. You can receive more of His healing, authority, and faith. Commit to this 21-day devotional of prayer and fasting and open yourself up to experiencing God's "more" in your life.

Welcome to this 21-day devotional journey designed to help you deepen your understanding of the Bible and grow in your faith. Over the next three weeks, we will explore the foundational questions that shape our approach to Scripture. By engaging with these questions, we hope you will not only gain a richer knowledge of the Bible but also develop a stronger sense of trust and connection to God’s Word. Each week, we will focus on one key question: What is the Bible? Can We Trust the Bible? Where Did the Bible Come From?

Scripture teaches us, even exhorts us, to pray with unshakable belief, to open our ears and hear the promises of God, and invite them to dwell deep in our hearts. God wants us to pray these “Prayers of Faith” to anchor our trust in His assurances, knowing that God is always true to His Word. Only then do we pray in ways that abandon ourselves and our cares to God’s loving goodness and divine purposes. May we earnestly desire this for ourselves and the people we are knit together with in God’s family.

In John 15, Jesus paints a picture of the Vine (Jesus) and the branches (us), and the privilege and fruit that is produced as the “branches” stay connected to the “Vine”. During these 21 Days of Fasting, we use fasting as a way to focus on abiding in Jesus—our sole purpose is to “remain in him and he in us” so that we “will bear much fruit to the Father’s glory”. And we get to do this together. Let's go!

You know, it’s funny. When we read Bible stories, we tend to view the characters as supernatural beings – heroes at the least and almost perfect people close to deities at the most. Neither is probably true. Oh sure, they accomplished heroic deeds and are worthy of admiration, but the truth is they were humans, just like us, with all our foibles and failures, fears, and worries. Maybe it’s time to see them for who they really are and experience what it might have been like to witness firsthand the true Christmas miracle.
