Luke-Acts is a two-volume history that provides an overview of the New Testament period and allows us to see where most of the other books fit into the larger picture. Luke was one of Paul’s co-workers in sharing the good news about Jesus, so reading Paul's letters alongside Luke-Acts helps us to understand where Paul's letters fit into both their historical context and the larger Biblical story. 

Christ's grace has the power to change everything. We don't have to strive, to compete or compare, or question whether or not we measure up. We're enough because Christ in us in enough. The cross of Christ sets us free.

How would you define what makes up your identity? Maybe you define who you are by what you do or how you perform. While all of those things may be pieces of who you are, those definitions can change. Luke writes Acts to provide a historical record of the early church and show the trajectory of God's redemptive plan after the resurrection of Jesus. Acts reorients us to the mission of God today: a diverse church, filled with the Holy Spirit, dedicated to showing and sharing the gospel across the earth.
