Young adults give the impression that they are unsure of what is morally correct. Many fellow Christians wish to take the easy road by staying quiet; regardless of their loudly protesting and discerning thoughts. The world desperately needs Christian mavericks to lead the way, without fear, and with sound advice. This devotional is written to encourage Christians to be Mavericks for Christ and to stand for what is right without fear of having an unpopular opinion.

"GOD Series: Testimonies and Worship" is a 10-day devotional journey celebrating the names of God and His mighty works in the lives of His children. The book of Daniel chronicles the stories and visions of the exiled prophet during his life in Babylon. Although faced with devastating exile, the characters of Daniel choose to be faithful to God no matter the cost. Daniel’s life and visions remind us that God Himself orders peoples, nations, and history, orchestrating His people’s redemption and His imminent return.

While we rejoice at many triumphs of leaders in the Bible, we scarce remember their frequent, often undeserved, trials. It is during these challenges of life, survived over decades usually, that God creates a foundation for their incredible leadership success. We will examine many heroic, overcoming stories and how God’s word encourages us during difficult circumstances. Leadership isn’t easy, but He will always be with us.

Study the book of Daniel with theStory. There is nothing quite like the book of Daniel anywhere else in the Bible. Half of it is taken up with stories about Jews in Babylonian and Persian courts, the other half with dreams and visions. This 2 week Book Study of Daniel covers chapters 1-9 (the last 3 chapters are really hard for devotional reflection - but you’ll see on day 14 we give suggestions for further study).

This 14-day devotional is designed to help you grow into the kind of young leader God can trust. Fear and uncertainty are real, but God still calls you to rise. Courage isn’t about always feeling brave—it’s choosing faith even when your hands shake. The Basic Training Challenge takes you through books written by prophets and poets to learn more about God’s mission here on earth. Similar to your basic training, this plan will challenge you to get spiritually fit in God’s Word.
