Life is like a battle – it's tough and it often feels like we’re losing. But God wants us to walk in victory, because the battle’s already been won. Life is sometimes a fight; but if you’re a child of God, you’re fighting from a place of strength – you’re not weak, you're strong; not because of you but because of Jesus. Let’s fight like God wants us to fight!

I love Christmas. The movies, the lights, the food, the time with friends and family—it all feels so warm and bright. But for many, this season is also heavy. Christmas has a way of exposing loss, disappointment, and the ache of “what used to be.”

Regrets. We all have them. Whether it be last week or last year, we long to make things right – to change direction, to begin again. The good news is this: You can escape the “Sorry Cycle” of longing and regret and start over. Give God the opportunity to redeem your regrets so you can see good come from life’s deepest disappointments. Yes, you can learn to live beyond your regrets!

This plan begins with a desperate prayer: "How do we get to you, God? How do we stand and believe light can shine here, right here?" As believers we are a part of God’s new humanity, and as a result we are called to walk in distinctiveness. We are called to walk in love, rejecting the idolatry of disordered sexuality. We are called to walk in humility, rejecting the idolatry of power. Walking in integrity, we reject the idolatry of success. And rejecting the power of greed, we are called to walk in simplicity. 

Of all the apostles, Paul’s conversion/calling story was arguably the most notable and miraculous, his assignment to take the Gospel to the Gentiles the most unique, and the tangible results of his obedience the most impressive by human standards. Even so, Paul did not operate as a lone wolf, set apart from the pack and self-sufficient. On the contrary, this hero of the Christian faith understood the essential role his brothers and sisters played in his life and stayed connected to them even when his assignment to preach and live truth called him away for long stretches of time. 

Christ in you is the hope of glory. Are you living more out of your old, dead nature or your new nature and identity in Christ? Have you drifted away from Jesus? To come back into being a wholly surrendered follower of Christ, we are called to die daily! When you hear the call, how do you respond?

If we want to share Jesus with others, we’ve got to live like Him, love like Him, and listen like Him. In this 5-day Plan, we’ll take a closer look at the life of Jesus to discover how we should live our lives.
