Does God care what careers we pick? Did you know that work existed in the Garden of Eden? What happened that made work so often miserable, and can Jesus help heal it? In this seven-day study, we look to the Bible to understand work and provide practical applications for finding meaning and joy in our modern-day jobs.

Friend, are you tired and weary? Do you need rest? Take a week to spend some time reflecting on taking a breath, and allowing the ‘rest’ to come easy, as you focus on the peace that comes in the moments of rest.

We often struggle to keep a steady rhythm to our lives. We discover that we have become too fast, too free, too loud, or too weak. We fall out of the natural rhythm God intended for us to enjoy. Thankfully, He has given us spiritual practices to get us back in rhythm and to help us keep the beat.

Have you ever thought about what you can actually accomplish when you slow down? You and me both! I am also guilty of taking life too fast. But what could God do through you (and me!) if we just slow down to really pray and think through our next steps?

If you could put all your responsibilities aside for a day, and do whatever you wanted, how would you spend it? This seventh day is a gift from God. He rested (took a Sabbath) on the seventh day of creation and invites us all into a day of rest with Him. Will you decide that enough is enough and take a rest day with God this week?

This devotional inspires us to Reconsider, Refocus, and Remember - three practices and tools God gives us to help us face challenging circumstances while growing and remaining firm in our faith, instead of allowing them to distance us from our Savior.

Encourage others to make space for the gift of God’s rest as they take time to pause and enjoy the blessings God continues to work out in their lives.
