Jesus said that believers are in the world but not of the world. The Bible shows us our true status: we are not excluded from the world but rather included in the people of God. Our mission is to invite others to be part of this people. We will see from the lives of the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph how life as a stranger and pilgrim can be blessed by the Lord and be of blessing to others.

This 8-day Bible teaching plan explores the final chapters of Genesis, tracing Joseph’s story and the surprising ways God works through sin, suffering, and failure. Each day demonstrates how God remains faithful when people falter, how grace supersedes guilt, and how the story of Genesis ultimately points us to Jesus. This plan invites you to see your own story through the lens of God’s redemption, forgiveness, and unshakable promises.

In this 11-day plan, you will study Genesis 37-50 which will take you through the life of Jacob and his 12 sons who later became the 12 tribes of Israel. These chapters highlight the life of one of those sons, Joseph, and his journey of hardship and forgiveness. We hope you’ll learn the importance of trusting God through difficult times and learning to forgive those who hurt or disappoint you.

When we think about Joseph, one of the first things that comes to mind is DREAMER. We look at the life of Joseph and the process that he went through both spiritually and physically to get from the pit to the palace. In Joseph’s life we see the importance of God’s Timing as well as His Hand over one’s life – despite what things look like on the outside.

It’s often hard to say goodbye to people. Especially if they are leaving for a long time or even dying. In such situations, we attach great importance to the last words someone tells us. In the Bible we also read several examples of people who had something important to say before they died or left. Let’s read their last words together.

The Bible is filled with stories of real people facing real problems with real faith. By surveying the lives of great men and women of the Bible who walked by faith through flaws and failures, this 18-day study will encourage you to live faithfully in the presence of God for His glory.

In the fifth and final part of our Genesis plan, we'll see the story of Joseph and his family come full circle! Read about the amazing saga of Joseph's reunion with his brothers and his father and Jacob's final blessings over his sons. You'll also get to see some beautiful parallels to the gospel of Jesus in these chapters!

“God loves you, and He has a plan for your life.” This is a popular statement among Christians, and it is true. But God’s ways are not always easy!
