Jesus ascended to heaven forty days after his resurrection. During that time He appeared to His followers, saying, “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." Jesus begins his earthly ministry when he is about thirty years old (Luke 3:23). We call this phase “Ministry Foundations.” It lasts about a year and a half. During this time, Jesus will issue two calls. To unbelievers, he says, “Come and see.” To believers, he says, “Follow me” (John 1:39-40).
