Paul wrote the book of Philippians to the church in Philippi around 60 A.D., and it's filled with verses of thanksgiving and joy. And even though Paul wrote what is now considered one of the most joyful books in the Bible, he wrote it while in prison. He didn't let his circumstances stop him from rejoicing and giving gratitude to God, and neither should we. As we read Philippians, we're challenged to follow Paul's example of joy no matter the situation, ultimately learning to follow Jesus with our hearts and our lives.
