Throughout history, humanity has longed for a Saviour. From the very beginning, the Old Testament reflects a deep ache for restoration. This Advent season, we’ll explore the anticipation of Jesus, the Messiah, who fulfilled every promise. Let’s prepare our hearts to celebrate His birth and express our longing for His return, embracing this season of hope and invitation.

This Christmas season, we pause to remember the angel’s announcement: “Good news that will bring great joy to all people.” Through every reading, we discover again the wonder of Jesus, our Saviour, Redeemer, and Hope. As you journey from the manger toward a new year, may His presence fill you with peace, purpose, and unshakable joy. Emmanuel, God is with us.

We’re inviting you to slow down and step into the wonder of worship through the story of Jesus showing up for us. Each devotional walks hand in hand with a song from "A Very Very Maverick Christmas," drawing from Scripture and song to stir up gratitude, hope, and awe. As you move through themes of humility, joy, and adoration, our prayer is that you’d encounter Emmanuel - God with us - and remember that His love still changes everything.

John reveals Jesus clearly - His love, His power, His compassion, and His identity as the Son of God. Through signs, teachings, and personal encounters, this gospel invites us to believe deeply and follow wholeheartedly. We’d love you to read along with us as we journey through the life of Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate who He is and what His presence means for us today.

A man appears and claims to be the Son of God. The people wonder: Is it true? Years later, an old man records his experiences with this Jesus. It is John. He is likely the last living eyewitness from the inner circle. He lives in a time of intense pressure. Both the Romans and the Jewish authorities want to wipe out the message of Jesus, and within the churches, people are emerging who downgrade Jesus to just a "good teacher." John writes the Gospel of John. His goal: To prove that Jesus truly is the Son of God.

Over the next 31 days, we’ll journey through two of Paul’s prison letters: Ephesians and Philippians. We’ll unpack some of his greatest lessons including how you can live victoriously, even in hard times, and how you can find and keep your joy in all seasons.
