The first time an important word or phrase is mentioned in Scripture is significant. In this devotional written by members of Gateway Church's pastoral staff, we’ll unpack the special meaning behind 21 first mentions and how these foundational words and phrases lead to a richer understanding of the Bible.

This plan is an invitation to the unashamed wonder and power of the gospel (Romans 1:16)! In this six-part series of plans, you will work verse by verse through the book of Romans. The Gospel tells us: "Jesus Changes Everything". The second step to experiencing the wonder of this gospel is declaring our FAITH in Jesus as our Savior and King!"

Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.

When was the last time you prayed for something so BIG it scared you? What BOLD move is God calling you to pursue? What’s holding you back from praying BIG, BOLD prayers? Praying big, bold prayers has reshaped my walk with God. It’s taught me to surrender fear and trust His plans—even when they don’t make sense. This 21-day plan is an invitation to trust God in ways you’ve never trusted Him before. To lean in, ask boldly, and believe for the impossible.

When we go through wilderness experiences, we may feel empty and desperate for answers. We may even feel that God is far from us. Yet He promises to be with us through the deep waters and through the fires. This 21-day reading plan will hopefully be an encouragement and guide through the wilderness - and a reminder that God will take you through whatever it is that you are experiencing.

God encoded your purpose in the very first command He gave humanity. This 21-day plan is an invitation to go deep into Genesis 1:26-30 and discover your Divine Natural Assignment — the specific gifts, calling, and mandate He placed inside you before you were born. Each day builds on the last, walking you from identity to fruitfulness and from the discovery of your gift to its full deployment for Kingdom impact. Your purpose is not an accident. It is an assignment.

The birth of Christ, His advent, marks God's ultimate plan for our redemption. In Christ, we see the fullest picture of God's hope, peace, joy and love. God's Word is the truth by which we know and walk with Him daily. It is our hope that this guide will encourage and facilitate personal time spent in the Word and provide a resource for families with children to do that together.

It's so easy to get caught up in all the hall decking and merry making that we forget what Christmas is all about - a baby in a manger who changes everything! So before Christmas slips away and the new year dawns, we invite you to slow down and take some time to prepare your heart for the celebration “God with us.”

In a season that is often characterized by the hustle and bustle of holiday celebrations, shopping and decorations, it is our hope that the Practices of Advent reading plan will provide you a daily invitation to practice the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love reflected in the gift God has provided in Jesus Christ – meeting our own longing for, and need of, forgiveness, salvation and a new beginning.

Celebrate Hope: Looking Back, Stepping Up is an invitation to find where God has been present with us in difficult days long past and where God is present with us now. Certainly God has been our help in ‘ages past,’ and God remains ‘our hope for years to come.’ Celebrate Hope provides us with this needed reminder and offers us the strength to carry on.

Hebrews 11 a list of some of the most well-known biblical figures commended for their faith, highlighting both triumphs and trials—suffering, loss, and testing that shaped their trust in God. This plan explores their stories and the God they relied on, offering encouragement for our own challenges. By learning from these faith forerunners, we can find strength to trust Christ as our steady foundation in every trial.

Advent Study going through: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.

These 29 daily devotionals, created by Dr. Walt Larimore, are structured around the four traditional pre-Christmas Advent candles—Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love and one final devotion for the penultimate Christ candle.
