The Promised Land Bible Study: Exodus Edition, 30 Day Plan

For millennia, God’s people have been carrying out a weekly Bible study plan. Every year, they read through the Torah from Genesis to Deuteronomy. In synagogue each week, they read and study a Bible passage—the weekly parshah. This parshah is called “Emor,” which is Hebrew for “Speak,” and covers Leviticus 21:1–24:23.

For millennia, God’s people have been carrying out a weekly Bible study plan. Every year, they read through the Torah from Genesis to Deuteronomy. In synagogue each week, they read and study a Bible passage—the weekly parshah. This portion is a double reading, Acharei Mot-Kedoshim, from Leviticus 16:1—20:27. Acharei Mot means “after the death,” and Kedoshim means “holy ones.”

After the Death / Holy Ones

Begin your journey through Leviticus with clarity.

On the first day of this plan, you will read a guided introduction alongside the opening chapters of Leviticus. This introduction explains the purpose of the book and how God called His people to worship Him and live as a holy nation. No sooner did the glory cloud come down to rest on the tabernacle in the concluding verses of Exodus, than God instructed Moses with the content in Leviticus which is a book about atonement.  “The word kipper (“to make atonement”) is used almost fifty times in Leviticus.
