Quand Salomon devient vieux, ses femmes l’entraînent à adorer d’autres dieux. Alors son cœur n’est plus tout entier au SEIGNEUR son Dieu, contrairement à son père David.

As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

En effet, lorsque Salomon fut devenu vieux, ses femmes détournèrent son cœur vers des dieux étrangers, de sorte que son cœur n’appartint plus sans réserve à l’Eternel son Dieu, à la différence de son père David.
