Samyèl pale ak tout pèp la, li di yo konsa: — Si nou tounen vin jwenn Senyè a ak tout kè nou vre, se pou nou wete tout bondye moun lòt nasyon yo ak tout pòtre metrès Astate yo nan mitan nou. Viv pou Senyè a sèlman, se li menm ase pou nou sèvi. Lè sa a l'a delivre nou anba men moun Filisti yo.

Alors Samuel leur dit : « Si vous revenez vers le SEIGNEUR de tout votre cœur, n’adorez plus les Astartés ni les autres dieux étrangers ! Attachez-vous au SEIGNEUR et servez-le, lui seul. Alors il vous délivrera du pouvoir des Philistins. »

So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

Alors il vous délivrera des Philistins.
