God said, “Let us make human beings in our image who are like us. God blessed them and told them, “Reproduce, increase, and spread throughout the earth and control it; exercise authority over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the earth.”

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the surface of the deep. The Spirit of God moved over the surface of the waters.
