The church at Corinth was plagued by internal division and sinful derision. No one wants to be a slave. We don’t like to be restrained or told what to do or how we should live. We love our freedom and resent any constraints. Being happy, enjoying life, that’s what it’s all about. Realistically, that goal can only be achieved if you live according to God’s commandments. They will free you because our wise God is your Creator.
