Jesus Christ is greater than all. By Him all things were created, and in Him all things hold together. Moreover, in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He forgives us all our trespasses, reconciling to God all things, whether on earth or in heaven. If we are united with Jesus, there’s nothing more to long for. He really is all in all!

This reading plan studies the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed to see what Christians throughout history have confirmed to be the core of their faith.

We’re told to have faith that certain things will happen, to put our faith in ourselves, to keep the faith, to be faithful. But while phrases like that get tossed around in our vocabulary all the time, have you ever stopped to wonder what faith is really all about? At its core, faith is all trust, hope, and confidence. In this devotional, we’ll look at how putting our faith in Jesus shapes the way we live.

This Lenten season, I invite you to a daily pause to come close to the story. In your busy life, remember that Easter is on its way. Affirm your belief in resurrection power, and then admit that without a death, there would be no resurrection. I have designated readings for Ash Wednesday and the high points of Holy Week and included an extra reading for the Monday after Easter, but otherwise, whatever day you happen to be reading a devotional is the day the Holy Spirit ordained that you should be receiving its truth.

Deeper into Scripture is a methodology of scripture reading that instructs, encourages and equips people to read God’s Word daily and deeply. We have created a unique four-fold method of bible reading that directs the individual to read a short passage of scripture four times. Each reading is done with a different question, instruction or objective to be considered. This repetitive reading and instruction takes us deeply into the Word of God and draws us closer to Him.

The letter to the Church in Colossae was written by Paul as a REALITY CHECK on the things that are considered of greatest value for those following Jesus, the threats against them and how to live amidst the culture surrounding them. He investigates the vast ideas of Christ’s Supremacy, which is ultimate reality, all the way to the personal understanding of our new reality in Christ and fullness in Him.
